Maharashtra Police Provides Y-Plus Security to Six Dissident Shiv Sena UBT MPs

Maharashtra Police on Thursday confirmed providing Y-plus security to six dissident Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs who are alleged to be in contact with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The heightened security comes as part of Operation Tiger.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leadership called a parliamentary party meeting in New Delhi, but faced poor attendance. Party spokesperson Sanjay Raut and MP Arvind Sawant addressed the media, with Raut announcing action against absent MPs. "MPs who did not attend are in violation of party whip. Show-cause notices will be issued," he stated.
Raut indicated the party would pursue cancellation of membership for those who failed to attend and warned of legal action against MPs who violated party discipline.
