Maharashtra voters served notices need not appear physically for hearings

The Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has announced that voters served notices during electoral processes need not appear physically for hearings. According to the directive, electors can submit required documents and evidence to their respective Block Level Officer (BLO) through WhatsApp.
This decision aims to ease the administrative burden on voters and streamline the electoral verification process. The measure allows voters greater flexibility in responding to electoral notices without requiring them to travel to administrative offices for in-person appearances.
