Maharashtra Orders 10% Water Cut From October 16 Amid El Niño Concerns

The Maharashtra government has announced a 10% water cut across the state beginning October 16 in response to El Niño-related drought concerns. Industries have been directed to reuse or recycle at least 30% of their water consumption. Irrigation water will be released only after meeting the state's drinking water, livestock, and fodder requirements.
