Man Assaults Sassoon Hospital Doctor After Being Stopped From Filming Father's CPR

A 30-year-old man allegedly assaulted a doctor at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune after being asked to stop recording while medical staff administered CPR to his father, who had suffered cardiac arrest. The incident occurred on July 25 around 10:45 am in Ward No. 40.
Dhanraj Krishna Pille rushed his father to the hospital following the cardiac emergency. When doctor Vrushak Shivhar Chincholkar asked him to stop filming inside the ward, the accused allegedly objected, stating the patient was his father. After being informed that videography was prohibited, Pille allegedly became aggressive, abused the doctor, and physically assaulted him, pushing and striking him on the head.
Despite medical efforts, Pille's father died. Police registered an FIR against Pille under the Maharashtra Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) Act. Investigation is ongoing.
