Manoj Jarange Threatens Mumbai March, Demands Maratha Quota Resolution

Quota activist Manoj Jarange on Friday called for mobilising Maratha community members ahead of his hunger strike at Antarwali Sarati village on Saturday. He threatened to march to Mumbai and stage a sit-in outside the Chief Minister's official residence 'Varsha' if the government fails to accept their demands.
Jarange said he would review the government's letter during the fast and call off the protest only if community members found it satisfactory. Otherwise, the protest would continue indefinitely. He criticised the government over the Maratha reservation issue, alleging it was trying to reduce the 58 lakh Kunbi records identified earlier.
Jarange demanded a government resolution addressing community concerns, government jobs for families of deceased activists, an independent Maratha-Kunbi ministry, revival of suspended Sarathi schemes, and release of pending interest refunds from the Annasaheb Patil Economically Backward Development Corporation.
