PM Modi's childhood friend seeks CBI inquiry into BJP MLA in land dispute

Asghar Ali Vora, 81, claimed to be Prime Minister Narendra Modi's childhood friend from B.N. School in Vadnagar, Gujarat, met Modi on September 8 to seek CBI investigation into a land dispute in Bhayander, Maharashtra. Vora alleged he purchased around 2,810 square meters of land in Bhayander East's Navghar area in 1989 through a registered agreement but that forged documents were created in 2011, dividing the property without his knowledge.
Vora accused Swayam Builders and Seven Eleven Constructions—the latter allegedly linked to BJP MLA Narendra Mehta—of being shown as co-owners through fraudulent documentation. He claimed the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation approved construction on the disputed land despite his ownership claims, and alleged municipal, revenue, and police officials failed to act. Vora filed an FIR in 2015 and stated he received a positive response from Modi following their meeting.
