Sanjay Raut, Dipke demand removal of MPSC chairman

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke have extended their support to MPSC aspirants agitating in Pune and demanded the removal of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission chairman. The two leaders met with protesters on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and urged them to stay firm on their demands.
Thousands of students from different parts of Maharashtra have taken to the streets and are prepared to face arrest to press their demands linked to the MPSC. The aspirants are seeking the removal of the commission's chairman and reforms to ensure greater transparency and fairness in the examination process. MPSC aspirants have been agitating in Pune alongside NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar. Raut said the slogans raised by protesters should reach Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, whom he accused of "pretending to be deaf."
Raut compared the ongoing agitation to Jantar Mantar in Delhi, saying "the pattern of Jantar Mantar is that the agitation continues till the demands are met." He alleged that the government was attempting to create division among protesting students instead of holding discussions with their representatives, stating that a government with pure intentions would engage in dialogue with them.
