Mumbai Court Allows Polygraph Tests For Two Witnesses In Ghosalkar Murder Case

A Mumbai sessions court has authorized the CBI to conduct polygraph tests on two witnesses in the murder case of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar. The court rejected the CBI's plea to test Amarendra Mishra, the bodyguard of deceased Mauris Noronha, who is named as a suspect.
On February 9, 2024, social worker Mauris Noronha allegedly shot Ghosalkar during a live Facebook broadcast before killing himself. The case was transferred to the CBI following a Bombay High Court order on petition by Ghosalkar's widow, Tejasvee Ghosalkar. The CBI sought tests on Mehul Parekh, Noronha's personal assistant, and Ryan Gore, both cited as witnesses, as well as Mishra, since the weapon allegedly belonged to him. Both witnesses had given written consent to undergo the examination.
