Nashik to Host National-Level Football Matches with New Stadium Infrastructure

Nashik is set to develop a national-standard football ground at Hutatma Anant Kanhere Maidan, equipped with high-mast floodlights. The facility will feature a quality playing surface, advanced drainage system, and infrastructure required for competitive football matches.

The high-mast floodlights will enable day-and-night football matches, providing flexibility for tournament organisers and evening spectators. The upgraded infrastructure aims to reduce local players' dependence on Mumbai and Pune for quality sports facilities and enable football academies to organise higher-level training programmes.

With these developments, Nashik is positioned to host state and national-level football tournaments. The improved facilities are expected to boost football in the city and provide local footballers opportunities to compete against experienced players from across the country.
