Nashik Mayor and Shiv Sena (UBT) Leader Clash Over Pothole Crisis

A dispute erupted during Nashik Municipal Corporation's general body meeting as Mayor Himgauri Aher-Adke and Shiv Sena (UBT) group leader Keshav Porje clashed over the persistent pothole issue. The opposition criticised the administration for accidents and difficulties caused by deteriorating roads, while corporators held up placards during the heated exchange.
Roads in Nashik have degraded due to repair work, gas pipeline excavations, and preparations for the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela. The pothole issue has claimed lives, prompting the Mayor to announce ₹5 lakh financial assistance to deceased victims' families during an earlier meeting in August.
Keshav Porje has consistently raised concerns about the pothole crisis. Details of resolutions passed during the current meeting remain unavailable, though the issue is expected to feature in future municipal discussions.
