Nashik MP Rajabhau Waje Breaks Down at Shiv Sena (UBT) Press Conference Amid Defection Speculation

Nashik MP Rajabhau Waje became emotional during a press conference organised by Shiv Sena (UBT) Lok Sabha MPs Arvind Sawant and Anil Desai, along with Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, on Wednesday. The event came amid reports that six to seven MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction were preparing to defect to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena.

Waje refuted speculation about his own defection, stating he would remain loyal to Thackeray. "I will not leave Uddhav Thackeray and go anywhere else. This is an unchangeable commitment," Waje said, adding that no one from Shinde's party had contacted him and the thought of leaving had never crossed his mind.

After the press conference, the leaders met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to brief him on the alleged defection plans. Sawant said the Speaker would act according to the Constitution and anti-defection laws. Raut stated the Speaker assured them he would follow proper rules and regulations in the matter.
