Nashik Readies Multi-Pronged Plan for Simhastha Kumbh Mela Crowd Management

Nashik administration is preparing comprehensive crowd management measures for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela, expected to draw crores of devotees to Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. Safety and traffic flow will be prioritized through separate entry and exit routes, one-way corridors, barricading, and designated parking areas.
At major bathing sites, temples and ghats, authorities will enforce capacity limits and divert excess crowds through alternative routes to designated holding areas. Information dissemination will rely on display screens and public-address systems. CCTV cameras, drones, and a Command and Control Centre will enable real-time crowd monitoring.
Traffic management will include peripheral parking, shuttle bus services, and restrictions on private vehicles in religious zones. Dedicated emergency corridors will ensure rapid movement of ambulances and emergency services. Healthcare, sanitation, drinking water facilities, lost-and-found centres, and assistance desks for women and senior citizens will be established, with emergency response teams stationed at key locations.
