PMRDA Accelerates Land Acquisition for 83-km Pune Inner Ring Road

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has intensified land acquisition efforts for its 83.12-kilometre Inner Ring Road project. Village meetings and joint land measurements are scheduled across Maval, Mulshi and Haveli tehsils from October 7 to 17. The 65-metre-wide road aims to reduce traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad by diverting through and heavy traffic from existing urban roads.
PMRDA has completed land measurement and valuation in Mouje Solu, Nirgudi and Vadgaon Shinde, with compensation of ₹144 crore deposited at the Pune District Collector's Office. The authority is now focusing on acquiring remaining land required for the project.
Official meetings will be held at various locations including Salumbre and Darumbre in Maval on October 7, and Manjari Khurd and Vadki in Haveli on the same day. PMRDA officials have urged farmers and affected landholders to participate in the meetings and measurement process, emphasising the project's importance for resolving regional traffic issues.
