Police bust flesh trade racket at Ambajogai lodge, two arrested

Police in Beed conducted a raid on Janata Lodge behind the central bus stand in Ambajogai on Monday afternoon, busting an alleged flesh trade racket. Two men—Narayan Venkatrao Gunde and Sachin Jagannath Dudhani, both residents of Prashant Nagar—were booked under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Acting on specific information that a woman from another district was being trafficked and forced into sex work, police raided the lodge around 5:50 pm. Officers recovered ₹17,900 in cash, two mobile phones, and six packets of contraceptives from the premises. Police said the accused lured the woman to the lodge and exploited her for commercial gain.
An FIR was registered at Ambajogai City Police Station based on a complaint by Meera Mahadev Redekar under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7(2)(b) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
