Railway Minister Vaishnaw, CM Fadnavis to launch Pune–Danapur Amrit Bharat Express, Pune–Shirdi train

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate two new train services from Pune on Wednesday, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in attendance. The Pune–Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will originate from Hadapsar railway station, while a daily Pune–Sainagar Shirdi train will also be launched. The ceremony will be held at Pune and Hadapsar stations.

The Amrit Bharat Express aims to strengthen rail connectivity between Maharashtra and Bihar, benefiting students, workers and families travelling between the two states. The Pune–Shirdi service will provide convenient travel for pilgrims visiting the Sai Baba temple and improve connectivity to the religious town.

The Amrit Bharat Express is a non-air-conditioned service designed for affordable long-distance travel, featuring general and sleeper-class coaches with modern amenities comparable to Vande Bharat trains.
