Pune godman and seven associates arrested for sexual exploitation and abuse at ashram

Pune Police have arrested self-styled godman Radhamohan Mishra (59) and seven associates for allegedly operating a decades-long network of psychological manipulation, sexual exploitation and abuse under the guise of spirituality. The case emerged on June 16 when a woman filed a complaint at Kharadi Police Station, detailing years of alleged harassment, rape, sexual assault and mental torture.
Mishra projected himself as a divine incarnation operating under "Modern Gurukul" and allegedly targeted children and young followers, isolating them from families through fear and religious manipulation. Eight people including six women and two men have been arrested. Police seized eight laptops, 19 hard discs, nine mobile phones, approximately ₹6.5 lakh in cash and jewellery valued at ₹15 lakh, along with 10 bullets and medicines.
