Ankur Pratishthan: Pune NGO's 14-Year Mission Connecting Donors and Communities in Need

Ankur Pratishthan, a Pune-based charitable trust founded by advocate and former corporator Meetali Kuldeep Sawalekar, has spent 14 years connecting donors with communities in need. The organisation operates as a bridge between those wishing to contribute and vulnerable populations across education, healthcare, women's empowerment, legal awareness and environmental causes.
Its flagship initiative, "Dene Samajache Samajasathi" (Giving Back to Society), enables citizens to donate pre-owned but usable items such as clothes, utensils, furniture and household essentials. These are distributed free to families and institutions in need, with the programme now benefiting over 60 organisations annually. An educational assistance scheme directly pays school fees for economically disadvantaged students, ensuring transparency and sustained support for their studies.
