Rahul Gandhi Tries to Dissuade Congress Veteran From BJP, Says 'You Can't Win Without Losing'

Rahul Bondre, a long-time Congress member who represented the Chikhli Assembly constituency in Maharashtra's Buldhana district, announced on Sunday that he would join the BJP. According to reports, Rahul Gandhi attempted to persuade Bondre against the move, cautioning him that political success requires accepting setbacks. Despite Gandhi's intervention, Bondre proceeded with his decision to switch parties.

The development marks another exit from the Congress in Maharashtra, a state where the party has faced multiple defections in recent years.
