Raj Thackeray demands scrapping of SIR, return to ballot papers

Raj Thackeray has demanded the scrapping of the SIR (Systematic Invalidation Report) process and a return to ballot paper-based voting. Speaking at a 'Garjana Morcha' event, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief called for elections to no longer be conducted through electronic voting machines.
Thackeray's demand comes as part of broader criticism of the current electoral mechanism, with the MNF positioning itself against what it terms as flawed election procedures.
