Sanchita Ugale's Father Claims She Was Being Harassed; Demands Justice

Television actress Sanchita Ugale died by suicide on June 14 at her residence in Nalasopara East, Maharashtra, at age 22. Days after her death, her father Machhindra Ugale revealed that she had been struggling with depression and experiencing sudden mood swings despite appearing fine at times.

Her father claimed that someone had been troubling and harassing her, allegedly making financial demands and causing her mental distress. He stated the family had ensured someone stayed with her constantly, but she was left alone for about 30 minutes on the day of her death—a brief period he believes may have led to the tragic outcome. He expressed regret, saying while they knew of her severe depression, they never imagined she would take such an extreme step.
