Sena UBT MP Defends Raut's Abusive Remarks as Not Targeted at Anyone

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Anil Desai on Wednesday defended party spokesperson Sanjay Raut's controversial remarks during a press conference in Delhi. Desai said the language used was "abusive, but not for anyone specific," attributing it to Raut's emotional sensitivity after five decades in politics.
Raut had used strong language against alleged rebel MPs during a press conference amid speculation of a split in the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction led by Uddhav Thackeray. Reports suggest several party MPs are in contact with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and may defect. Raut accused them of betrayal and warned they would have to answer to the people.
