Amid defection rumours, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut says MP 'Minimum Support Price' is ₹50 crore

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday criticized alleged attempts to engineer defections within the party, claiming the "Minimum Support Price" for an MP had been set at ₹50 crore, with ₹15 crore described as an advance payment. Raut's remarks came in response to a post by Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra.
The statement comes amid speculation over possible rifts within Shiv Sena (UBT) and reports that some party MPs could break away. Reports have suggested seven of the party's nine MPs were in contact with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and considering joining the ruling coalition.
