Shiv Sena UBT MPs Lodge Complaint with Lok Sabha Speaker Over Split Threat

MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena UBT met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi on Wednesday and lodged a complaint amid growing speculation of a party split. Party leaders said the Speaker acknowledged the matter, though the exact nature of the complaint and names of MPs involved were not officially disclosed.
Hours earlier, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut launched a sharp attack on suspected rebel MPs during a press conference, accusing them of betrayal and disloyalty. Raut said Uddhav Thackeray had treated party leaders as brothers and invoked founder Bal Thackeray's legacy of paternal care, asserting that those abandoning the party would face public accountability.
The developments reflect deepening turmoil within the faction as reports claim several Shiv Sena UBT MPs are in contact with the rival Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, triggering political uncertainty in Maharashtra.
