Shiv Sena (UBT) split rumours intensify as 6 of 9 Lok Sabha MPs absent from party meet

Shiv Sena (UBT) faced fresh split speculation on Wednesday after six of its nine Lok Sabha MPs skipped a mandatory party meeting called by chief whip Anil Desai. The absences triggered speculation that the MPs may be considering switching to the rival Eknath Shinde faction.
The meeting was convened to ensure all MPs' attendance, but the significant absence of roughly two-thirds of the party's parliamentary strength raised questions about internal cohesion within the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led faction.
