Crime Branch Set to Arrest Rutuja Patil, Mayur Thackeray in MPSC Drug Inspector Paper Leak Case

The Mumbai Crime Branch is preparing to arrest two additional suspects, including Rutuja Patil and Mayur Thackeray, in connection with the alleged leak of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission Drug Inspector examination question paper. Six accused were arrested on August 26.
According to investigators, Rutuja Patil is expected to face questioning over WhatsApp chats allegedly revealing she paid ₹50 lakh for leaked questions. Police suspect her father Amrut Patil obtained the question set from Pravin Patil, an academy operator, who had contact with MPSC officials Vishweshwar Nakate, Abhijit Lendwe and Gopal Marathe—among those arrested. Investigators found that 77 questions in the actual examination matched those Rutuja received before the test.
